Kitchen Remodeling

Kitchens planned around your priorities and your budget

A kitchen that fits how you live

A kitchen remodel is one of the biggest projects most homeowners take on, and one of the easiest to overspend on. We start with what you actually need, then build a plan that fits your budget. Sometimes that means a full gut and rebuild. Often it means a few smart changes that make the kitchen feel brand new for a lot less.

St. Vrain Construction is a second-generation, licensed general contractor (Longmont license C01009653) serving Longmont, Boulder County and Weld County.

We get to you fast. We typically return calls the same or next business day, come out for an estimate within 3 business days, and get you a written estimate within 2 business days after that. Most projects start within 2 to 3 weeks of signing.

How a kitchen remodel works with us

  1. We start with your priorities. Before we talk about cabinets or countertops, I want to know how you use your kitchen, what drives you crazy about it, and what matters most: more storage, more counter space, better light, or a layout that works for a family that cooks together.
  2. We talk honestly about budget. Knowing your budget up front lets me point the money where it makes the biggest difference instead of guessing.
  3. We look for ways to get more for less. Keeping sinks and appliances where the plumbing and gas already run, refacing solid cabinet boxes instead of replacing them, or putting the money into the surfaces you touch every day. Small choices like these free up budget for the things you really want.
  4. You get a clear, itemized estimate. The work is broken into parts so you can see what each piece costs and choose what to include now and what can wait. No up-selling. We only recommend work that needs to be done.
  5. We handle permits and scheduling. We pull the permits the job requires and line up the work in the right order. Wiring is done by a licensed electrician.
  6. We build it and walk it with you. Demolition, rough-in, cabinets, counters, backsplash, flooring and finish work, followed by a final walkthrough so nothing is left undone.

What affects the cost of a kitchen remodel

  • Layout changes. Moving plumbing, gas lines or walls adds the most cost. Keeping the footprint saves the most.
  • Cabinets. Refacing, stock, semi-custom and custom cabinets span a wide price range.
  • Countertops. Laminate, quartz, granite and butcher block all price differently.
  • Electrical work. Older homes often need new circuits for modern appliances and lighting.
  • Flooring. Whether the new floor stays in the kitchen or continues into nearby rooms.
  • What is behind the walls. Older homes can hide water damage or outdated wiring, so we plan for it and tell you right away if we find something.

How long does it take? [Typical timeline, e.g. most kitchen remodels take X to Y weeks once materials are on site] Cabinet and countertop lead times can add time before work starts, so we order early and give you a realistic schedule up front.
